Burning Down the House

Hanukkah is over but the memories linger. Our congregation hosted our 2nd Annual Hanukkah dinner. We had a home made Hanukkiah contest. (The Hanukkiah is the 9 branched candle holder used for this holiday as opposed to a menorah that has 8 branches).

Of course, my heart sang when the Chicklet chose to make a hannukiah with recycled materials. All the ingredients were at hand. She received a lot of compliments and kudos for recycling. The Elvis' returned for their second year. This one was quite pretty and elegant.Talk about "toasted O's." Fun, huh?

The Chicklet's Girl Scout Troop met and had a little holiday fest. The Chicklet led the girls in another very competitive game of dreidal. Plenty of sugar was had by all!
