Ideas, ideas...

My art making enthusiasm hasn't been what I'm used to. I think in part I've tuned it down because there are other things that need to be done so art goes on the back burner.

We were in the book store the other day and I was browsing the Art and the Crafts sections. I'd pick up a book, flip the pages, pick up another, repeat the process... I realize that with the economy, fewer books are kept in stock but lately, my drool factor is really low.

I was looking through one book and a page caught my eye. It showed row after row of one artist's composition books/journals. They were simple but the abundance made them interesting. The image is still in my head. It hit that I didn't want to buy another book. I want to be looking at my own finished journals, rows and rows of them.

The written journals are abundant. I stopped numbering them in the 30's years ago. I wonder how many I do have? Maybe I'll go into the garage tonight and start counting.

The Chicklet and I have had a lot of events with Girl Scouts in the last few weeks and lots more are planned. She's growing up so fast. I have to get my time in before I become "chopped liver," lol.

Today we're working on her Ceramics and Clay Girl Scouts badge. We'll be setting up to work in the carport shortly. Better get going.

Have a great day!
Marissa
