Perpetual Calendar

It's taken a bit but here's some pics of the perpetual calendar we made at Mystic Paper two weeks ago. I've been eyeing these calendars for a couple of years so I was really excited to be able to make one myself.

Each date is set on a match box so I can put a goody or a note or the Chicklet's allowance in them. The calender is on one side and the monthes stick to the other side of the cookie sheet until needed. We used one of the new lines of Graphic 45 papers. Our class kit included a ton of goodies and then more came out to choose from. Wow! Decisions, decisions! My first decision was to go more black than brown. Choosing which side of the double sided papers was tough. I liked them all.It was a day long class with some work left to do at home. I dug out my boxes of odds and ends and went a bit crazy with layers upon layers of charms, buttons, orphan jewelery pieces, etc. This was the perfect project for that.

My only dilema is figuring out where to hang it. There aren't many empty spots left at home.

  3. Marissa, your perpetual calendar is absolutely fabulous and what a problem to have--a home so full of art you don't know where to hang a new piece. Art on! Angela from Art Unraveled
